The Mahones in Edmonton — Tribute to Shane MacGowan at The Starlite Room

Celtic-punk band The Mahones, founded in Kingston, Ontario in 1990 by Finny McConnell, takes The Starlite Room stage in Edmonton for a tribute to Shane MacGowan — the Pogues frontman who died in 2023. On the bill: "Fairytale of New York", "Dirty Old Town", "A Pair of Brown Eyes" and the rest of the songbook that married punk to Irish music.
