The Belgo gallery hop in downtown Montreal

Designed by architects Finley & Spence in 1912, the Belgo has, since the early 1980s, been home to an ever-changing roster of galleries and artist studios. Today it holds the largest concentration of contemporary art galleries in Canada. You'll wander the hallways of this originally industrial building and visit a selection from over 20 contemporary art gallerists, alongside dance, architect and artist studios. Your guide, a passionate insider who knows the scene from within, walks you through the history of the galleries and the artists on display, with an introduction to the current exhibitions.
