The Weekend Wrap-Up: Sunday Night Comedy in Downtown Montreal

On Sunday evenings, B Hive Social Club in downtown Montreal turns over its room to The Weekend Wrap-Up, an open mic night built around stand-up. The lineup shifts week to week and draws on the local comedy scene: performers taking their first turns at a microphone share the bill with people who have been doing this for years, in short sets that follow one another quickly. Come early and there is food and a cocktail to be had before the first act, plus other comedy regulars to talk to while the room fills. Nothing about the evening is formal: you find a seat, you laugh, you head home. For visitors and neighbourhood regulars alike, it is an easy way to close out the weekend before the work week starts again.
