Photography, Hiking & Ferry to Bowen Island

Soak up nature and a lovely ferry crossing while you learn to take breathtaking photos. Your six-hour outing includes pickup and drop-off from downtown Vancouver, the return ferry trip to Bowen Island, an easy guided hike around Killarney Lake, and a wander among the village's shops, cafés and restaurants. Led by a seasoned photographer who also acts as your guide, you'll learn to capture stunning images of nature, landscapes, wildlife and architecture. We go over techniques such as long exposure, aperture, white balance and ISO for DSLR cameras, along with handy tips for camera phones. If you'd rather, we can also run photo shoots instead of formal lessons. DSLRs remain the ideal cameras to bring, though your camera phone works perfectly well too. The photography lessons or shoots, the guided hike and the transport, ferry included, are all part of the price. Come prepared with comfortable walking shoes, layered clothing, a camera of any kind and a good sense of adventure!
