MacMaster, born in Troy, Cape Breton, is a member of the Order of Canada with two JUNO Awards and 19 East Coast Music Awards; Leahy anchors the Ontario family band Leahy, itself a triple JUNO winner. Married since 2002, they pair Cape Breton tradition with Celtic and Cajun steps.
