Chamber music from Music Toronto: pianist and composer Dinuk Wijeratne joins the Canadian Chamber Orchestra on stage at the Jane Mallett Theatre in Toronto. The programme centres on his Gajaba Vannama for solo piano and string orchestra, drawn from Sri Lankan ritual and the imagery of the elephant, mixing dance rhythms, jazz inflections and tonal clusters.
