Winnipeg experimental quartet Midbrain Surfers return to Sidestage, led by harmonic overtone singer and keyboardist Kiva Simova (former backing vocalist on Crash Test Dummies' God Shuffled His Feet world tour). Improvised music drawing on jazz, ambient, world beat and trip-hop, with extended vocal techniques. Special guest Lewsh Shaw on sax and flute. Doors 7pm, music 8pm, two sets. $15 advance.
