Lunenburg by E-Bike and Zodiac: Land and Sea on the South Shore

The Tide and Trail outing starts in downtown Lunenburg, a UNESCO harbour town steeped in maritime history, and shows Nova Scotia's South Shore from two angles that could hardly be less alike. The first half rolls along quiet coastal backroads on e-bikes, led by a Tide and Trail guide, past rolling countryside, fishing villages and wide ocean viewpoints — a deliberately relaxed pace built for taking in rugged shoreline and Atlantic horizons. Midway, land gives way to sea. You board a military-grade Zodiac with Expedition Nova Scotia and head offshore, skimming the swells into hidden coves, circling remote islands and reaching wildlife and wave-carved shore that no road can get to. The contrast is the point of the whole thing.
