Montreal's Ligue nationale d'improvisation pits the Yellow team against the Green at MTELUS, an improv-theatre match played inside a hockey rink. Founded in 1977 by Robert Gravel and Yvon Leduc, the LNI borrows hockey's rules and rituals: a referee, penalties, and an audience that votes after each improvised scene. Performed in French on Sainte-Catherine Street East.
