About this event
New Orleans brass band The Soul Rebels — formed in 1991 and famous for blending funk, hip-hop, jazz, soul and traditional second-line — stops in Ottawa. Eight musicians (sousaphone, trumpets, trombones, percussion, vocals), with collaborations alongside Lauryn Hill, Nas, Metallica, Marilyn Manson, GZA and Macklemore, and tours with Trombone Shorty and Dave Matthews. Very danceable set, festival-grade energy, drawing soul/jazz/funk fans and brass-band lovers. Venue announced by the organizers, around 90 minutes.
