About this event
Half-day whale watching trip from Victoria, in the Strait of Juan de Fuca and around the San Juan Islands. Covered boat or Zodiac depending on the package, led by trained naturalists. Waters frequented by southern resident orcas (internationally protected), Bigg's orcas, humpback whales, seasonal grey whales, Steller sea lions and harbour seals. Most operators offer a sighting guarantee (free re-trip if nothing is seen). About 3 to 4 hours on the water, warm layers recommended.
