About this event
The Toronto Symphony Orchestra programmes Richard Strauss's Four Last Songs at Roy Thomson Hall, with soprano Rachel Willis-Sørensen. Written at the end of the composer's life, the cycle meditates on love and acceptance. The evening opens with a short piece orchestrated by Colin Matthews from Mahler's unfinished sketches and closes with Beethoven's Fourth Symphony.
