The Flashing Lights, Canadian power-pop band founded in Halifax by Matt Murphy (ex-Super Friendz) with Henri Sangalang. Album Where the Change Is (1999, Brobdingnagian Records) with the Canadian modern rock hit Half the Time, followed by the EP Elevature (2000). Punchy arrangements, '60s-tinged pop-rock melodies. Hometown return in Halifax.
