Montreal has earned a worldwide reputation as North America's trailblazer in the urban street art scene. Every year, the city hosts two major graffiti festivals: UNDER PRESSURE and MURAL.

Under Pressure marked its 25th anniversary in 2021 and features live talks, skating and painting sessions, and music, with a focus on community development and youth engagement. MURAL, for its part, is a huge international celebration of the arts that has drawn millions every year since 2012. There you will find over 80 murals and installations by a tremendous array of street artists, all around the St-Laurent strip.
