About this event
The Come From Away musical lands in Halifax, Nova Scotia — the province next to Newfoundland where the story takes place. Canadian production by Irene Sankoff and David Hein, it tells the story of the five days after September 11, 2001 in the small town of Gander, where 7,000 passengers from 38 diverted flights were taken in by 9,000 residents. Energetic ~100-minute show without intermission, Celtic-rock score performed by a visible onstage band and twelve actors. The local audience tends to feel close to the material.
