Little Canada: Explore Canada in Miniature in Downtown Toronto
Toronto, ON
Experience
A single day out of Toronto is enough to cover Bruce Peninsula National Park, a guided hiking trip along limestone shorelines and clear water. Pickup happens in Toronto, then the road leads to the park's scenic trail network. Footwear changes with the calendar: walking boots in the warm months, snowshoes once the trails are covered.
The route strings together the park's finest viewpoints, including several that stay off the usual visitor circuit: Horse Lake, Indian Head Cove, the Grotto, Overhanging Point and Marr Lake. Between stops, the scenery is a matter of transparent water framed by limestone cliffs.
Inglis Falls closes the day before the drive home.
The walking suits beginner and intermediate hikers alike.
