About this event
Ballet Jörgen performs The Nutcracker: A Canadian Tradition at Flato Markham Theatre in the Toronto area, danced to Tchaikovsky's score. Artistic director Bengt Jörgen, who co-founded the Toronto company in 1987, moves the story to a Northern Ontario village near Algonquin Park. Three Group of Seven paintings, from a collaboration with the McMichael collection, serve as backdrops.
