Algerian singer-songwriter Baaziz performs at Théâtre Beanfield on Notre-Dame Street West in Montreal. Born in Cherchell in 1963, the multi-instrumentalist blends chaâbi, folk and country, writing protest songs about politics, freedom and love of his country. He is a long-standing voice of Algeria's chanson contestataire and has played Montreal before.
