Artisan Donuts & Local Flavors: Victoria's Sweetest Adventure

Our walk kicks off at Empire Donuts, a quintessentially Victoria donut shop tucked right in the heart of downtown, well known for its one-of-a-kind donuts served in a retro 50s-diner setting with an intergalactic feel. From there, a short walk leads us to a coffee-and-donut spot beloved by locals, passing some of the city's finest eateries along the way, at least according to our guides. We then head down Government Street, taking in the inner harbour, home to the Empress hotel and the parliament buildings. As we weave back toward downtown, we reach our third donut stop, a small mom-and-pop shop that delights with its tasty treats. Finally, it's on to Chinatown to wrap up at Friend and Family Bake in Fantan Alley: this bakery offers plenty of Filipino goodies, donuts among them, and with a bit of luck we'll watch them being made right before us.
