Shared Horse-Drawn Sleigh Ride in Kananaskis

Boundary Ranch in Kananaskis, in the Calgary area, invites you aboard an old-fashioned sleigh pulled by horses. Tucked under a blanket with a hot chocolate, you ride the trails that circle the ranch, where snow-covered forest turns the landscape into a winter oasis. One stop brings you alongside the buffalo viewing paddock, so you can take photos of Canada's largest land animal without ever leaving your seat. Seating is vinyl padded with wooden backrests. Bring a blanket of your own and dress for the weather, although small lap blankets can be handed out if you need one. When snow conditions call for it, a wagon is used instead of the sleigh.
