From Friday, October 30 to Sunday, November 1, 2026, Edmonton leans into a music heavy run of shows: two separate Candlelight concerts hit McDougall Auditorium on Friday, one swinging through Vivaldi's Four Seasons, the other turning spooky with Halloween classics. Over at the Winspear, The Phantom of the Opera brings its ballet to Saturday night, while Sunday pairs an orchestral kids' show, The Composer Is Dead, with a superhero scavenger hunt at Queen Elizabeth Park for the younger crowd. Add a football showdown between the Golden Bears and the Calgary Dinos, plus a murder mystery to solve downtown, and you get a weekend that is equal parts cultured, family friendly and a little bit morbid.
