Yo-Yo Ma

Born in Paris in 1955 to Chinese parents and raised in New York, Yo-Yo Ma is among the most widely known classical musicians alive. Trained at Juilliard and educated at Harvard, he has recorded more than a hundred albums and won a long list of Grammy Awards. He also founded the Silkroad Ensemble to put musical traditions from across Eurasia in conversation.
