Weezer

Alternative rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1992 around Rivers Cuomo. Weezer broke through with their debut, the Blue Album, produced by Ric Ocasek of the Cars and driven by Buddy Holly and Say It Ain't So. The follow-up, Pinkerton, was savaged on release and later reclaimed as a power-pop cult classic. Three decades and roughly fifteen albums on, Cuomo's band still tours on crunchy guitars and singalong hooks.
