UNKLE is the project of English electronic musician James Lavelle, its one constant member and the founder of the Mo'Wax label. Emerging in the mid-1990s, the group folded trip-hop into rock and electronica, and left its mark with 1998's Psyence Fiction, co-produced with DJ Shadow and built around guest vocalists. Lavelle brings the catalogue back to the road on the UNKLE Sounds North America tour in 2026.
