Founded in 1922, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra is one of Canada's leading orchestras. It has been resident at Roy Thomson Hall since the downtown venue opened in 1982, presenting seasons that range from the core classical and romantic repertoire to contemporary commissions, film scores and family programming. Spanish conductor Gustavo Gimeno has served as its music director since 2020, leading the ensemble alongside guest soloists from around the world.
