The Trews formed in Antigonish, Nova Scotia around brothers Colin and John-Angus MacDonald and have spent more than two decades turning road-tested guitar rock into Canadian radio staples. Their 2025 album The Bloody Light produced the number-one Canadian rock single The Breakdown, and the band remains a constant presence on stages across the country.
