The Smashing Pumpkins

The Smashing Pumpkins are an alternative rock band founded in Chicago in 1988 by Billy Corgan, James Iha, D'arcy Wretzky and Jimmy Chamberlin. A defining act of the 1990s, they broke through with Siamese Dream (1993) and the double album Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness (1995), home to "1979" and "Tonight, Tonight". Their 2026 Rats In A Cage Tour marks that record's 30th anniversary with one set devoted to it and a second spanning nearly four decades of songs.
