The Longest Johns are a maritime folk group formed in 2012 around a kitchen table in Bristol, England, out of a shared love of sea shanties and work songs. Their a cappella harmonies reached a global audience in 2021, when their version of "Wellerman" went viral on TikTok and sparked the ShantyTok craze. They mix traditional repertoire with their own songwriting and tour the UK, Europe and North America.
