The Funk Hunters

Canadian electronic duo formed in Vancouver in 2009 by Nick Middleton and Duncan Smith, who met working at a film school on the Gulf Islands and bonded over funk records. Their sets fold future funk, glitch hop, soul and hip-hop into dance music with a 1970s heart. They have played Shambhala, Electric Forest, Bass Coast and the Calgary Stampede, and Middleton runs the Westwood Recordings label.
