The Beach Boys

Formed in Hawthorne, California in 1961 around the Wilson brothers, cousin Mike Love and Al Jardine, The Beach Boys turned surf, cars and California sunshine into a sound, then pushed far past it with the layered harmonies of Pet Sounds, routinely ranked among the most influential albums ever made. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988, the band still tours North America.
