Swervedriver are a British shoegaze band formed in Oxford in 1989 around singer-guitarist Adam Franklin. Signed to Creation Records, they set themselves apart from their peers by welding the genre's wall of guitars to a muscular, highway-rock momentum of heavy riffs and effects-drenched melody. Their 1991 debut Raise remains a canonical shoegaze record, and they are playing it front to back on the road in 2026 for its 35th anniversary.
