Sweeping Promises are a post-punk duo of Lira Mondal (vocals, bass) and Caufield Schnug (guitar), formed in Boston in 2019 and now based in Kansas. Their 2020 debut Hunted Lines was famously tracked in a concrete lab space using a single shared microphone, a constraint that became their signature: taut, reverberant, live-wire art-punk. Now on Sub Pop, they release You Say I Romanticize in August 2026 ahead of a North American tour.
