Sting

Born Gordon Sumner in Wallsend, England, in 1951, Sting first rose to fame fronting The Police before launching a solo career in 1985 that has ranged across rock, jazz and world music. His "Sting 3.0" tour strips things back to a guitar-bass-drums trio, the leanest line-up he has played in since The Police years.
