Russian Circles

Chicago instrumental trio Russian Circles have been building wordless post-metal since 2004, working in extremes: looped guitar figures and long slow climbs that break into sudden avalanches. Mike Sullivan, Brian Cook and Dave Turncrantz refined that language across Station (2008), Geneva (2009), Empros (2011) and Gnosis (2022). Renowned for the sheer physical volume of their live show, they remain a benchmark for North American atmospheric metal.
