Roch Voisine

Born in Saint-Basile and raised in Edmundston, New Brunswick, Roch Voisine is among the few Canadian artists to have become a genuine star on both sides of the Atlantic. His 1989 ballad Hélène made him a household name in France and Quebec alike and remains one of the biggest French-language hits of its era. Fluently bilingual, he has since moved between French and English repertoires, country and pop.
