St. Louis-raised singer-songwriter Ricky Montgomery put out his debut, Montgomery Ricky, in 2016, but it took four years for the world to catch up: in 2020, "Mr Loverman" and "Line Without a Hook" took off online and turned him into a touring alt-pop name. His album Rick followed in 2023, and in March 2024 he sold out Toronto's Danforth Music Hall on The Rick Tour.
