Ólafur Arnalds

Ólafur Arnalds, born in 1986 in Mosfellsbær, Iceland, is a composer and multi-instrumentalist who blends classical, ambient and electronic music. A former hardcore-band drummer, he turned to piano and strings to craft an intimate, cinematic sound. His score for the series Broadchurch won a BAFTA, and his self-playing Stratus pianos drive his strikingly visual live shows.
