Of Monsters and Men are an Icelandic indie folk band formed in Reykjavík in 2010 around the intertwined voices of Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir and Ragnar Þórhallsson. Winners of Iceland's Músíktilraunir band competition that same year, they broke out internationally with "Little Talks" and the album My Head Is an Animal (2011), pairing chanted choruses with brass and wide-open guitars. Later records Beneath the Skin and Fever Dream pushed the sound darker and more electronic.
