Nick Lowe

Nick Lowe, born in 1949 in England, is a British singer-songwriter and producer central to the pub rock and power pop movements. Known for singing Cruel to Be Kind and writing (What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love, and Understanding, he also produced early records by Elvis Costello and The Damned. In recent years he has toured backed by the instrumental combo Los Straitjackets.
