Nahko and Medicine for the People

Led by American musician Nahko Bear, Nahko and Medicine for the People blends folk, rock and hip-hop into what he calls 'medicine music.' Of Puerto Rican, Filipino and Indigenous descent, Nahko draws on his mixed heritage to write songs about healing, spirituality and social and environmental activism. Formed in Portland, the collective is known for its warm, communal live shows.
