Mike Rita

Mike Rita is an award-winning Canadian comedian from Toronto. Drawing on his childhood in a working-class Portuguese immigrant family in the Bloor and Lansdowne neighbourhood, he mines cultural identity and everyday life for sharp, relatable storytelling. A regular at the Just for Laughs festival, he was honoured in 2024 by the President of Portugal among the most significant Portuguese Canadians of the past 70 years.
