Metallica

Metallica were founded in Los Angeles in 1981 by singer-guitarist James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich. Thrash metal pioneers with Kill 'Em All (1983) and Master of Puppets (1986), they crossed over to a mass audience with the 1991 self-titled Black Album and “Enter Sandman”. Multiple Grammy winners and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, they remain one of the best-selling acts in music history and still fill stadiums.
