Melanie Chisholm, known as Melanie C, is a British singer who first became famous as Sporty Spice in the Spice Girls. Her solo career, launched with 1999's Northern Star, has ranged from guitar-driven pop to dance music. In recent years she has also built a second life as a DJ, folding her own hits into euphoric club sets.
