Mastodon is an American heavy metal band formed in Atlanta in 2000, celebrated for ambitious concept albums such as Leviathan and Crack the Skye. Their sound folds sludge, progressive metal and multi-member vocal harmonies into something distinctly their own, and they took home a Grammy in 2018 for Sultan's Curse.
