Maria Bamford

Maria Bamford is an American stand-up comedian and actor from Minnesota, known for a deeply personal act built on rapid-fire voices — her family, her bosses, her own intrusive thoughts. She was among the first comics to put mental health at the centre of her material rather than the margins. Her semi-autobiographical Netflix series Lady Dynamite (2016) became a cult favourite, and she is a prolific voice actor in animation. She performs in Montreal as part of the Just for Laughs festival.
