Manmohan Waris is a Punjabi folk singer born in Halluwal, Punjab, in 1967. He moved to Canada in 1990 and released his debut album in 1993, going on to become one of the most respected voices in Punjabi music worldwide. Since 2004 he has headlined the annual Punjabi Virsa tour alongside his brothers Kamal Heer and Sangtar, a travelling celebration of Punjab's musical heritage that regularly fills halls across North America.
