Liturgy

Liturgy is the vehicle of Brooklyn's Haela Ravenna Hunt-Hendrix, who coined the term transcendental black metal for what the band does. The music pushes far past the genre's borders, folding cascading rhythms, choirs, organ and contemporary-classical writing into the distortion. The project has been active since the late 2000s.
