LCD Soundsystem

Formed in New York in 2002 around James Murphy, LCD Soundsystem welds dance-punk, house and rock into something built for the room rather than the record. Murphy also founded DFA Records, and the band's run of albums — «Sound of Silver», «This Is Happening» — made it a defining act of its decade. After a farewell show at Madison Square Garden in 2011, the group reunited in 2016 and «American Dream» became its first Billboard 200 number one.
