Laurence Jalbert is a singer-songwriter from Riviere-au-Renard, in Quebec's Gaspe region, whose husky voice is among the most recognizable in Quebec's French-language songbook. Her 1990 self-titled debut sold 180,000 copies and earned two Felix awards at the ADISQ gala, carried by songs like "Tomber" and "Au nom de la raison." In 2026 she revisits that founding record, backed by her band, on the anniversary tour "35 ans... Et je cherche encore."
