Born Laouni Mouhid in 1981 in Trappes, outside Paris, La Fouine has been one of French rap's most durable voices for two decades. Albums such as Mes repères, La Fouine vs Laouni and Drôle de parcours built a body of work that moves between street narrative, hook-driven melody and personal confession. He also founded the label Banlieue Sale.
